For PSL 10 Final, Dr. Inspector General of Police, Usman Anwar, announced on Sunday that more than 8,000 police personnel and officers will guard the last PSL 10 game between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. This move fits the overall security plan. The IGP ordered officials to guarantee full safety for fans, officials, and players—local and visiting.
Dr. Usman said supervisory officers will personally inspect every security, traffic, and safety setup. He demanded officers stay alert and watch closely for any suspicious behavior.
He praised Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan police for their efforts in earlier games. “We adopted a more advanced security plan for PSL 10 to keep everyone safer,” he added.
The IGP stressed excellent coordination between district administrations, security forces, and other agencies to ensure smooth PSL events.
Elite Force teams, Police Response Units, and Dolphin Squad will patrol main roads, the stadium, and nearby areas. CCTV cameras will monitor key zones like team paths, stadium, and lodging.
For extra safety, snipers will be stationed on tall buildings around the stadium. Punjab Police released a traffic advisory and asked fans to cooperate.
He finished, “Fans should follow police orders to fully enjoy the game in a safe and secure environment.”
