Hasan Ali Expresses Aspirations To Play IPL Despite Long-Standing Ban

Pakistani pace bowler Hasan Ali, has recently voiced his eagerness to be a part of the prestigious Indian Premier League (IPL), notwithstanding the extensive ban on Pakistani cricketers’ participation in the tournament since its inception in 2008.

The ban, originating from the aftermath of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, has endured, prohibiting Pakistan’s cricket luminaries from showcasing their talent on the IPL platform for over a decade.

In a recent interview with a local news channel, Hasan Ali remained optimistic, expressing his keenness to overcome this barrier and represent an IPL franchise.

“Every player wants to play IPL & it is my wish to play there. It is one of the biggest leagues in the world and I will definitely play there if there is an opportunity in the future,” Hasan Ali remarked.

Notably, IPL’s inaugural season featured several Pakistani cricketers like Shoaib Malik, Shoaib Akhtar, Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Shahid Afridi, and others.

However, they were later banned from participating in the lucrative cricket league.

Hasan Ali is currently part of Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League, while playing for numerous franchise teams across the globe.

Hasan Ali has picked 227 wickets in 173 T20 matches at an impressive average of 21.95 and can be a valuable addition to any IPL team.
