Fasieh Mehta, a respected expert in tech and gaming, has been appointed as Google’s Industry Head for Mobile Apps & Gaming Pakistan. He will now be based at Google’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. Clearly, this is a significant win for Pakistan’s digital community.

Previously, Fasieh worked at Epic Games. There, he consistently promoted Pakistan’s growing gaming ecosystem. As a result, global attention began shifting toward the country’s talent.

In recent years, developers in Pakistan have launched many successful apps and games. Consequently, international tech companies have started taking notice. Google’s decision reflects this rising trend.

Interestingly, this was not an internal hire. Instead, Google opened the position to the public. They ran a competitive 10-month recruitment process.

Candidates had to pass several interviews and detailed evaluations. Eventually, Fasieh stood out and secured the position. Google was looking for someone who could truly represent Pakistan’s app and gaming scene, and he delivered.

In a personal message shared online, he said, “Pakistan is brimming with talent. The world just needs to see it.” He added that the job is more than a career move. To him, it is a way to give back to the creative community he believes in.

Moreover, his new position enables him to support developers, studios, and publishers in Pakistan. Through guidance and visibility, he aims to help local talent reach global success. Thus, he’s turning small wins into global achievements.

Over the years, he visited Google offices in Mountain View, London, Dubai, and Singapore, sometimes as a guest, sometimes as a partner. However, this time, he walked through the doors wearing a Google badge of his own.”

His message to the tech industry in Pakistan is powerful and clear: He’s here to listen, support, and build with you. Notably, Google’s creation of a role focused only on Pakistan sends a strong message. It shows how seriously they view the region’s growth.

In conclusion, this is more than a personal achievement. It proves that Pakistani talent is not just entering the global stage, it’s starting to lead it.
