The Federation Internationale de Football Association aka FIFA has lifted the suspension which they had previously placed on Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

This decision to restore the federation’s authority came forward on Tuesday, 13th March, via a letter by FIFA’S secretary general Fatma Samoura, which was addressed to PFF.

According to it, the federation has now reinstated all membership rights which were previously halted when the ban was imposed, due to a third-party interference.

The letter further reads:

This also means that PFF’s members and officials may benefit from development programmes, courses and training from FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Finally, FIFA member associations may again enter into sporting contact with PFF and/or its teams.

An excerpt from a FIFA-issued statement reads:

PFF’s members and officials may benefit from development programmes, courses and training from FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Finally, FIFA member associations may again enter into sporting contact with PFF and/or its teams.

Soccer fans in Pakistan are overjoyed at the update!
