The release of the HBL PSL 8 anthem, Sab Sitaray Humaray happened on 11 February 2023. Along with Abdullah Siddiqui, the anthem’s composer, Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Farish Shafi are included. The official anthem for the eighth HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season was unveiled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and has been trending nonstop. Sharing the official video of the anthem, the PSL Twitter handle wrote: “Sitaaron ka naya taraana.” Here is the video.

The PSL 8 anthem satisfies all the criteria while upholding tradition. While Shae Gill’s soulful voice draws us in and gets us grooving, we can witness Asim Azhar exhibiting his dance skills in the upbeat and engaging video. The inclusion of Faris Shafi’s rap in the clip is highly appreciated. Minutes after the release, the music video was trending on Instagram and Youtube. The audience had mixed reviews about the anthem. Many liked it and many didn’t like it at all. Here are some positive reactions.

Regardless, of whether people liked the anthem or not, a huge majority of the listeners liked Faris Shafi’s part in the anthem. One particular lyric has been going viral because it received immense love from the audiences.

Overall, the anthem received mixed reviews but one thing is sure the excitement for PSL 8 is consistent even if people don’t like the anthem.
