One of the biggest nights in Pakistan’s media and advertising industry has now been called off.
The Effie Awards Pakistan issued an official statement reading:
“This is with regards to the Effie Awards 2020 Gala Night scheduled for April 11th, 2020. As you are already aware that every organization and institution is trying to stay safe in this time of uncertainty.
We also in these hard times and are trying to do our part to ensure the health and safety of you and all those around us.
We will follow government guidelines in observing social distancing to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Therefore, we have decided to postpone the Effie Awards 2020, and plan to reassess the situation. We hope to get back to you with good news and a new date by the first week of April.”
