Daraz, the leading e-commerce platform in Pakistan has partnered with Naya Jeevan to provide comprehensive health and life insurance to all contractual workers and their families, thereby enhancing the health, safety, and wellbeing of its workforce during this difficult and uncertain period.

In addition to implementing a work-from-home policy for all office staff, Daraz has also ensured that all warehouse staff and DEX Heros practice social distancing. Daily temperature checks are conducted and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and sanitizers has been made available. Employees have also been advised to stay at home if they feel unwell.

Daraz and Naya Jeevan have co-created a purpose-built insurance plan, featuring a technology-enabled, health & well-being intervention powered by doctHERs, Pakistan’s fastest-growing network of online female doctors, therapists, pharmacists, and nutritionists. Naya Jeevan is affiliated with doctHERs and has been championing the right to health & life insurance coverage for low and middle-income workers in corporate value chains and other segments of Pakistani society for the past 8 years. More than 80% of Naya Jeevan’s portfolio of 50,000+ active members across Pakistan consists of beneficiaries who have never been enrolled in a health or life insurance program.  For the first time ever, these contract workers have access to a Coordinated Care program in which their outpatient services (OPD) will be fully curated and guided by Naya Jeevan across all healthcare venues – in-network, diagnostic labs, pharmacies, and consultant clinics.

“We are extremely proud to partner with Daraz on this pioneering corporate health and wellness initiative. Naya Jeevan and its sister concern doctHERs have always championed the right to quality healthcare for the millions of blue-collar workers (and their families) linked to our corporate value chains. We look forward to continuing our trend of introducing innovative, high-impact, workforce retention and customer loyalty programs in collaboration with conscientious, market leaders such as Daraz” – Khaqan Sikander, CEO Naya Jeevan & doctHERs
