With an increase in the number of reported coronavirus cases, the Sindh Government has established their ‘first-ever’ drive-thru coronavirus testing facility in the country.The drive-through testing facility has been established in the Jahangir Kothari Parade area of Clifton.

Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah along with Secretary for Local Government Department Roshan Ali Shaikh and Deputy Commissioner South on Tuesday visited the drive-thru testing facility.

Speaking to a local news channel, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that as the demand for testing kits is increasing, we’ve decided to establish this set up on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

To avail this testing facility, an individual would be required to call the DC South helpline (021-99203012) for a reservation between 9am and 5pm. The call operator will provide you with a time and code for the test after registering your call. Walk-ins are strictly not allowed.

The individual will also be asked a set of questions if they want to get tested which will include your travel history and symptoms.

Moreover, the LG minister said more drive-thru facilities will be introduced across the province.
