Karachites and their inherent love for food know no bounds. The metropolis has a bustling gastronomical landscape and it continues to flourish every day. Its food streets are thriving with eateries of all kinds and sizes, catering to passionate food enthusiasts and their rich culinary tastes.

Over the years, a large number of international restaurants have found an abode in Karachi. Citizens welcome them with open arms and enjoy the diverse dishes they have to offer.

Now, yet another eatery is all set to wow Karachi and this time it is Dubai’s iconic restaurant ‘B&B’!

It is no secret that desi cuisine is a hot favorite of every Pakistani. The traditional dishes are savored above all food items. And that’s why the newly launched ‘B&B’ has a high chance of becoming a popular spot in the city.

B&B is a short form of ‘Breakfast & Barbecue’. Situated in Oud Metha next to Lamcy Plaza, it is a favorite amongst the people of Dubai.

Food critics in the emirates rate their Nihari as arguably the best amongst all desi eateries. Its Halwa Puri is a popular breakfast item which is served throughout the day.

After serving in Dubai for ten years, the restaurant has opened at main Shahrae-Qaideen, P.E.C.H.S (Between Nursery Flyover & Allah wala roundabout) on 21st December.

What Karachiites will love most about the eatery is that it is the first international brand in Pakistan that will serve both desi and continental breakfast seven days a week. On the contrary, other eateries limit their menu for ‘desi nashta’ just to Sundays.

The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of omelettes, pancakes, waffles, French toast and different varieties of coffee.

However, its classic options of Nihari, Halwa Puri and ‘Kadak Chai’ is what steals the spotlight from breakfast till midnight.

What’s more, its lunch and dinner menu is all the more tempting. Its signature BBQ Kasturi Boti, Karhai and Handi dishes are claimed to be hot-sellers.

Food enthusiasts with a sweet tooth will adore the idea of piping-hot Suji Halwa with Paratha, Gajar Halwa and Kheer served at B&B.

Other than its classic menu items, B&B has also added Chinese dishes and starter items to cater to taste buds of all ages.

The foreign restaurant carries the legacy of Dubai forward in Karachi by offering hygienic food in a clean environment to citizens, a trait many desi eateries in the city are now lacking.

Boasting a modern decor, the eatery’s wooden interior and green ambiance flaunts a serene, outdoor look. Dubai’s Alif investments is the brainchild behind the launch of B&B in Karachi. Expanding the restaurant beyond Dubai to their homeland, the eatery has also planned to expand into other cities of Pakistan.

The eatery’s daily operation hours are from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight.

However, with established brands offering desi menu already and ruling the food scene in the City of Lights, will B&B break the clutter and seize the limelight? Let’s wait and watch.
