Attaullah Tarar Leads Media Visit at LoC to Expose Indian Propaganda

Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, along with representatives of both international and local media, visited the Line of Control (LoC) to show the actual situation on the ground. The visit was meant to counter Indiaโ€™s repeated claims that Pakistan is supporting terrorist activities from its side of the border, according to Radio Pakistan.

The Ministry of Information arranged the tour, allowing journalists to visit places India has often called militant camps. These claims are part of Indiaโ€™s ongoing narrative to justify tensions at the LoC. Pakistan denies these accusations and calls them a part of Indiaโ€™s effort to spread false information.

During the visit, journalists were shown the specific locations that India mentioned in its statements. But instead of militant hideouts, media representatives saw normal civilian lifeโ€”homes, markets and community areas. People living in those areas spoke to the media and shared their experiences, which also proved that Indiaโ€™s claims were false.

While addressing the media, Attaullah Tarar said, โ€œIndia has made baseless allegations against Pakistan time and again. Today, we have presented the truth before both international and national media. The places India labels as terrorist camps are, in fact, peaceful civilian areas.โ€ He added, โ€œPakistan is a responsible stateโ€”committed not just to regional, but to global peace. We unequivocally condemn terrorism in all its forms, anywhere in the world.โ€

Tarar also warned that while Pakistan wants peace, it will not tolerate any attacks on its sovereignty. He said, โ€œWeโ€™ve proven through our conduct that we are advocates of peace. But make no mistakeโ€”if our sovereignty is challenged, we will respond decisively. India, before making baseless accusations, should take a long, hard look at its record of human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).โ€

He also said Indiaโ€™s claims are a way to cover its own policy failures in IIOJK.

Earlier, the Pakistan Army briefed top political leaders about the ongoing situation with India. According to sources, the army assured them that they are fully ready to respond if India shows any aggression. The closed-door session included Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Director General ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. They gave a full briefing on the situation after the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which led to increased tension between the two countries.
