The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted police a five-day remand of Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case. This decision came after a court appearance on Saturday, following the completion of his four-day remand. During the hearing at ATC-3, police requested an extension. Armaghan’s father, Kamran Qureshi, was present but was denied access to meet his son.
The court questioned whether Armaghan had been beaten, to which he responded affirmatively before collapsing. Court staff revived him by splashing water on him. After regaining consciousness, he alleged that police had taken him to Balochistan, threatened to kill him and denied him food. However, police claimed he collapsed on his father’s signal and insisted they needed to record his Section 164 statement.

Armaghan’s lawyer, Khurram Abbas, argued that the accused was under stress and pointed out irregularities in the proceedings. He also noted that police did not allow them to obtain co-accused Shiraz’s signature while conducting interviews. Meanwhile, further investigations revealed that Mustafa and Armaghan had a dispute over a girl on New Year’s Eve, leading to Mustafa’s alleged murder.
Shiraz reportedly confessed that Armaghan lured Mustafa to his house on January 6, where he violently killed him. The suspects then transported Mustafa’s body in the car’s trunk to Hub, Balochistan, where they burned the vehicle. Police recovered modern weapons from Armaghan’s residence, and the Counter-Terrorism Department is tracing their origin. Authorities also seized a laptop from Armaghan’s bungalow, with FIA assisting in data analysis. A disturbing audio recording has surfaced in which Mustafa tells a friend he was heading to Armaghan’s house, suggesting his friend should join him later.
