ali-zafar-is-back-for-official-anthem-for-psl-10

Guess whoโ€™s back? Ali Zafarโ€”the man behind some of the most iconic PSL anthemsโ€”is once again stepping up to create the official anthem for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

For PSL fans, this is huge! Zafarโ€™s anthems have always carried a special energy, and his return feels like a trip down memory lane. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made the announcement through PSLโ€™s official social media accounts, and the excitement is already off the charts!

Ali Zafar and PSL โ€“ A Legendary Combo

Ali Zafar isnโ€™t just another singer in PSLโ€™s historyโ€”heโ€™s the voice that started it all. Back in 2016, he set the tone with “Ab Khel Ke Dikha.” But it was “Ab Khel Jamay Ga” (2017) that truly became the anthem of PSL, played in stadiums, streets, and living rooms across the country.

He followed it up with “Dil Se Jaan Laga De” (2018)โ€”another hit that kept the tradition alive. He made his comeback after six years in 2024 with “Khul Ke Khel” to reclaim his throne as the ultimate PSL anthem king.

A Look at PSLโ€™s Anthem Evolution

Over the years, PSL has experimented with different artists and styles other than Ali Zafar. Some anthems became instant favorites, while others sparked debate among fans.

  • 2019 โ€“ Khel Deewano Ka (Fawad Khan, Young Desi)

  • 2020 โ€“ Tayyar Hain (Ali Azmat, Haroon, Asim Azhar, Arif Lohar)

  • 2021 โ€“ Groove Mera (Aima Baig, Naseebo Lal, Young Stunners)

  • 2022 โ€“ Agay Dekh (Atif Aslam, Aima Baig)

  • 2023 โ€“ Sab Sitaray Humaray (Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, Faris Shafi)

Each song had its own vibe, but letโ€™s be realโ€”Ali Zafarโ€™s anthems hit differently. Thatโ€™s why his return is getting everyone talking!

PSL 10 โ€“ Bigger and Better

While the anthem is creating buzz, letโ€™s not forget the main eventโ€”PSL 10 itself! The tournament kicks off on April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United facing off against Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

With six teams battling it out over 34 matches, this season promises non-stop action. Lahoreโ€™s Gaddafi Stadium will host the eliminators and grand final, adding to the drama.
