Ahmed Shehzad has been making waves in the ongoing National T20 Cup 2023/24, drawing praise from fans and former players for his exceptional performances.

Representing Lahore Whites in the competition, Shehzad leads the run charts with 213 runs at an outstanding average of 106.50.

He earned further praise and admiration after he revealed that he turned down the offer to participate in the lucrative Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Ahmed Shahzad earned the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), but he still preferred to play National T20 Cup. Moreover, his decision stemmed from his strong commitment to showcasing his skills for Lahore Whites in the National T20 Cup.

Shehzad conveyed his dedication to prioritizing his country’s domestic cricket over lucrative international leagues.

“I respectfully declined the offer to play in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League. My focus remains on Lahore Whites in the National T20 Cup, aligning with my belief in placing Pakistan first. I aim to set an example for aspiring youngsters by prioritizing national commitments,” he expressed via X.

Acknowledging the support from the PCB for his NOC, Shehzad expressed his gratitude while reaffirming his dedication to respecting and promoting domestic cricket.

Shehzad highlighted his relentless pursuit of an international comeback, emphasizing his commitment to returning to the Pakistan team.
