19th September 2022: With the release of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ just around the corner on the 13th of October, the team released character posters for Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi which has created a lot of hype amongst the audience.
The posters unveil the looks of the two lead stars in the film. While the two are seen carrying a rugged look fit for warriors on a battlefield the posters give a glimpse of how the two characters are different. Fawad Khan’s ‘Maula Jatt’ portrays a valorous look with the iconic Gandasa in his hands whereas, Hamza Ali Abbasi’s ‘Noori Natt’ looks ready to tear it all down. In the original Maula Jatt, these characters were seen played by Sultan Rahi and Mustafa Qureshi and viewers are geared up to see what elements Fawad and Hamza will be adding to their respective characters.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is a hard reboot of the 1979 classic ‘Maula Jatt’. The film has been directed by the award-winning director Bilal Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat under the joint venture of Encyclomedia & Lashari Films in association with AAA Motion Pictures. The screenplay is by Bilal Lashari and the dialogues have been penned down by Nasir Adeeb.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is Pakistan’s first mega-scale production with the most expensive ensembled star cast which includes Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Ali Azmat, Faris Shafi and many more.
The filmmakers have teamed with Geo Films as their presenting partner, Pakistan’s biggest media conglomerate, and a vital contributor to the revival of Pakistani cinema. The film will be locally distributed by Nadeem Mandviwalla of Mandviwalla Entertainment, who is well known for his efforts and work done for the Pakistan film industry over the decades. Internationally the film will be distributed by MovieGoers Entertainment.
