Star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and left-arm spinner Sufiyan Muqeem are likely to return to the Pakistan men’s team during their return tour to Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series, set to be played in late July.

Shaheen’s Shot at Redemption

It’s no secret that Shaheen Shah Afridi hasn’t quite looked like his usual self lately. His last appearance in the green shirt came during the T20I series against New Zealand in March, and to be fair, it wasn’t his best outing.

With just two wickets in four matches and an economy rate touching 10.23, it was clear something was off. But here’s the thing — class is permanent, and Shaheen’s fiery spells have bailed Pakistan out on more occasions than we can count.

Now, with a fresh series ahead and a chance to reboot, the left-arm pacer is all set for a comeback. Could this be his moment to silence the doubters? We’ll soon find out.

Sufiyan Muqeem — Quiet but Deadly

While all eyes were on the usual suspects, Sufiyan Muqeem quietly made a statement in the same series against New Zealand. He got only one game, but boy, did he make it count.

The young spinner scalped two wickets while conceding just six runs in two overs — that’s an economy rate of 3.00, folks. That’s not just good, that’s eye-popping in modern T20 cricket.

If he gets a longer rope this time around, Sufiyan could be a real game-changer for Pakistan, especially on Bangladesh tracks that love a bit of spin.

What About Babar?

Ah, the ever-burning question — where does Babar Azam fit in all of this? According to sources, the door is still wide open for the former captain.

In fact, he’s reportedly been assured of future opportunities, which means we might see him back in the squad soon — if not in this tour, then likely the next.

While some fans are eager to see a fresh-look Pakistan, Babar’s class and consistency are hard to ignore, especially in crunch situations. The question now is timing — when, not if, he returns.
