“We live in a world where even Wizard Liz gets cheated on,” said one X user. “This is like 9/11 for women,” added another. Yes, if you already can’t tell, the internet broke after THE Wizard Liz (the girl boss icon of Gen-Z) got cheated on. That too, while being 4 months pregnant.
How does one even trust in love anymore? Well, maybe by idolising better love stories rather than influencers, but that’s a topic for another day.
When the News First Broke
The news first broke on May 27, 2025 when the Youtuber took it to her story to announce her break up. The very first story had Liz referencing to a latest video that “gave her the signs she ignored.” The video was of a Q&A between her and her fiance, Landon Nickson and they both were discussing their thoughts on cheating.
This was followed by another story where Liz officially denounced their engagement. Why? Because the man that was once claiming he “hated cheating” and was constantly emphasising on being a “green flag,” had ended up cheating.

How Landon Cheated on His Fiancée and the Mother of His Kid
According to Liz, Nickerson maintained a secret Snapchat account to communicate with another woman and wanted to hook up with her. The girl later contacted one of Liz’s friends and provided evidence of the interaction.
Liz noted that only days before the betrayal came to light, Nickerson had been with her in London, professing his love and commitment. “He made a whole book about how much he loves me,” she wrote.
What was really shocking here was that Liz also mentioned how her fiancé apparently referred to their relationship as “fake” to this new girl he was trying to hook up with.

The Youtuber also mentioned how she will be selling her engagement ring (that is worth $100k) and donating it to single moms. What a power move.
Landon Still Has Crazy Audacity!
After the news broke and the internet went crazy over Landon, he went on to his Instagram story to also share his side of the story. But honestly, it only made matters worse for him.
He was seen downplaying the severity of the situation and trying to manipulate the internet by stating that it was just “5 to 10 mins of his life” and that the person was “irrelevant.” He also said that it was just a “mistake” and that “human beings can make mistakes.”
Obviously, this only worsened the matter, because why would you make a fake ID for some ‘irrelevant?” Oh, and most importantly, cheating is never a mistake.
Of course, the internet wasn’t ready to take this, and then Landon ended up deleting all the videos and instead posted just a story with his ex-fiancée Liz (Landon read the room already).

Amid All the Controversy, This is Clear: They Will Always Blame the Woman
Ever since the controversy broke out, the internet has been divided. Ironically, nobody seems to be siding with Landon, but they still seem to be hating on Liz.
Many users started judging Liz’s religiosity and how she “deserved it” because she was “apparently” a Muslim and did something Haram (mind you, we still don’t know her relationship with Islam and neither has she been seen talking about it openly).
They even compared this with Andrew Tate’s rape and human trafficking allegations.
Others claimed that Liz and Landon were a couple that was made on cheating to start with, so it was bound to fail, hence Liz “deserved it” again. This was debunked by Liz when she took to her Instagram to clear the narrative and this rumour.
She clarified how every time they came in contact, neither of them was in a relationship.
“I want to clarify something I have been sending and lies being spread: Landon was ABSOLUTELY SINGLE when he met me,” Liz said. ‘Stop this false narrative that’s just even more harmful people love to make up shit weird af.”
This just reeks of the double standards of society. People will discuss anything but look at the actual problem at hand. Why? Because it’s easier to raise a question at a woman and bring in matters between her and her creator specifically when she was wronged.
