Karachi Ranked 6th Most Affordable City in the World!

In an annual report by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) on Worldwide Cost of Living for 2019, Karachi ranked as the 6th most affordable city in the world.

Although this might be very hard for Karachiites to believe because of the hike in prices as a result of inflation, for foreigners who earn in Dollars, Pounds, and Euros, it is true.

The report compiles a list of both the cheapest and most expensive cities in the world to live in the next year. A total of 160 essential commodities are considered to compile the ranking including the cost of food, drinks, living expenses, utility bills, education, etc.

“The survey itself is a purpose-built internet tool designed to help human resources and finance managers calculate cost-of-living allowances and build compensation packages for expatriates and business travelers”, the report states.
