Daimler AG, a renowned name in the world of automotive manufacturing has successfully signed a MoU with the government of Pakistan.
This MoU means that the company has granted permission to locally assemble Mercedes-Benz Trucks within the country.

According to the terms, as reported by Dawn News, the local assembly of these trucks will mark a major shift in the domestic logistics and transportation industry towards the European manufacturers.
According to Financial Express, the demand for Commercial vehicles in Pakistan is set to go up with CPEC and a new network that links Pakistan’s seaports in Gwadar and Karachi with Northern Pakistan.
This is also a huge move for Pakistan with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) coming up, Daimler seems to have invested at the right time to make the most of Pakistan’s logistics movement to China.
