On March 16,2023, the Pak-Arab Refinery Ltd. (PARCO) T20 Cricket Tournament’s 7th edition came to an end after a thrilling final match between Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd. (OGDCL) and Pakistan State Oil Ltd. (PSO) at Moin Khan Academy in Karachi. The match witnessed an exciting display of cricketing skills and sportsmanship from both sides, as they competed to win the prestigious trophy. The closing ceremony of the tournament was graced by prominent guests from the sports and media industries, along with top executives of leading companies.
OGDCL emerged as the winner by defeating PSO by 14 runs in a nail-biting finish, with Muhammad Bilal playing a crucial role in his team’s victory. The Managing Director of PARCO, Mr. Shahid Mahmood Khan, expressed his happiness at the tournament’s success and congratulated OGDCL for their victory. He also commended all the participating teams for their sportsmanship and dedication to the game.
PARCO plans to continue organizing events that promote healthy engagements and strengthen the bond of the fraternity. This year, 12 prominent companies from Pakistan’s petroleum industry participated in the PARCO T20 Cup, playing 33 thrilling matches. The companies that competed for the cup included PARCO, TOTAL PARCO Pakistan Ltd., Shell Pakistan Ltd., Cnergyico PK Ltd., Pakistan State Oil Ltd. (PSO), Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd. (OGDCL), Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. (PPL), National Refinery Ltd. (NRL), Attock Petroleum, Pakistan Refinery Ltd. (PRL), Hascol Petroleum Ltd., and United Energy Pakistan Ltd.
