It’s become crystal clear that COVID-19 doesn’t care about who you are or how popular you might be. The virus that started last year in Wuhan, China and began to wreak havoc on the entire world.

Since early March 2020, several of the biggest names in Hollywood, sports, royalty, and politics have contracted the coronavirus. However, the virus that spread like wildfire in Pakistan as well and got to a few celebs.

So, without any further ado, let’s have a look at some of the most popular Pakistani celebrities who tested positive for COVID 19.

1. The Nawaz trio

The celebrity couple is in self-isolation along with their daughter for 14 days after being tested positive for COVID-19.

2. Alizeh Shah and her fiancé Noaman Sami.

Drama serial Mera Dil Mera Dushman stars have also been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus recently. The duo is in self-isolation.

3. Sakina Samo

The veteran television actress has gone into the self-quarantine while her family members are being tested for the coronavirus.

4. Rubina Ashraf

The actor and director also tested positive for the novel virus and is now in isolation. Her family members will be taking the tests.

5. Abrar-ul-Haq

Singer-turned-politician, Abrar ul Haq, also revealed that he had been tested positive for COVID-19. The PTI leader took to Twitter to share the news on Sunday.

6. Naveed Raza

Another star from the show Mera Dil Mera Dushman tested positive for the novel virus is Raza, who took Instagram to announce his condition.

7. Salman Ahmed 

The singer, who was in New York for his musical projects, got himself tested after he experienced symptoms of the virus. Plus, Ahmad remained there due to the suspension of flights. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Salman discussed his journey from the time he started feeling coronavirus symptoms to him, eventually becoming healthy once again.

Furthermore, on Friday, Pakistan broke its previous record of the highest single-day rise ever, reporting 4,896 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said. With the latest surge, Pakistan’s tally of coronavirus cases has reached 89,248, already surpassing China, and landing the country at the 17th spot in terms of coronavirus cases, the data shows.

Another 68 patients lost their lives due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, across the country, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 1,838. Some 31,198 patients have recovered.
