It was not long ago when fans across the border realized the beauty, simplicity, and potential of Pakistani dramas. Zindagi channel aired many Pakistani shows, including Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar, Aunn Zara, and many more. Zindagi Guzar Hai and Humsafar set new records.
These dramas eventually opened new opportunities for Pakistani actors in India. Fawad Khan became Pakistan’s most successful actor in the neighboring country. He debuted opposite Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat. Then, he did Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Mahira Khan did Raees opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Sajal Aly and Adnan Siddiqui were seen in Mom.
Now, ZEE5 is rebranding its Zindagi channel. The channel promises to show about 1,000 hours of Pakistani content. The channel announced it on Thursday. Zindagi will feature not only five original shows but also some old ones. Shehr e Zaat, Diyar e Dil, Aunn Zara, Badi Aapa, and more, to name a few.
The new content seems so much more breathtaking. Zindagi will on-air five original shows. These shows comprise of the incredible cast, including Sajal Ali, Ahad Raza Mir, Saba Qamar, Nouman Ijaz, Bilal Abbas Khan, Madiha Imam, and more.
Here is what we know about these five original series till now:
1. Churails
This Zindagi Original Series will feature Yasra Rizvi and Sarwat Gillani, along with Nimra Bucha and Meher Bano. The series has a stellar female cast. The series is directed by Asim Abbasi, who directed Cake too.
2. Dhoop Ki Deewar
Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza Mir play the lead in Dhoop Ki Deewar. The series is written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hassan The Alif duo, Umera Ahmed & Haseeb Hassan, ae teaming up for this one again. Manzar Sehbai, Samina Ahmed, Samiya Mumtaz, Alyy Khan also feature in the drama.
3. Mann Jogi
The series features Saba Qamar and Nouman Ijaz in the lead roles. Saji Gul wrote the series while Kashif Nisar directed.
4. Aik Jhooti Lovestory
Aik Jhooti Lovestory features Madiha Imam and Bilal Abbas. The series has been written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Mehreen Jabbar.
5. Abdullah Pur Ka Devdas
Shahid Dogar wrote, and Anjum Shahzad directed this Zindagi Original Abdullah Pur Ka Devdas. The newlywed Sarah Ali Khan plays the lead role in the series along with Bilal Abbas Khan. Nouman Ijaz, Savera Nadeem, and Anoushay Abbasi are supporting actors.
