Who doesn’t love a good movie on Eid? For Eid ul Fitr 2024, just like every year, new movies are coming to cinemas all over Pakistan. This time around there’s going to be one Pakistani film and THREE Hollywood movies hitting the screens on Eid. Let’s take a look at the films that will be premiering in Pakistan for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024.
1. Daghabaaz Dil
“Daghabaaz Dil” is a movie directed by Dil Wajahat Rauf, set to release in cinemas on Eid ul Fitr 2024.
The film stars Mehwish Hayat, Ali Rehman, Babar Ali, Saleem Sheikh, Momin Saqib, Leela Wasti, and Ayesha Khan. The teaser shows us a moment of a wedding celebration. It seems like this movie is about to capture moments filled with emotions and joy.
2. Civil War
Adding to the Eid lineup is “Civil War,” a movie portraying the outbreak of a civil conflict in America, leading to the nation’s split. Directed by Alex Garland, the cast includes Wagner Moura, Kirsten Dunst, Cally Spinney, and Jesse Plemons. The film is set to hit theaters worldwide on April 11th.
3. Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire
Set for slightly sooner than Eid dates, the worldwide premiere of “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire” was on March 28. This movie was a guaranteed and delivered thrilling science fiction action. Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie features an epic showdown between King Kong and Godzilla as they confront underground monsters.
With a cast including Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Nicola Circa, Kay Lee Hotli, and Dan Stevens, this monster movie has generated significant anticipation.
4. The Monkey Man
In his directorial debut releasing on the 4th of April, actor Dev Patel presents “The Monkey Man.”
The storyline follows an unnamed character’s quest for revenge against corrupt leaders for his mother’s murder. Starring Dev Patel alongside Sharlto Copley, Petubish, and Sobhita Duhlipala, the movie emphasizes Patel’s diverse portfolio. Prior to this, Dev Patel demonstrated his acting prowess in renowned films such as “Lion,” “The Green Knight,” and “Slumdog Millionaire.”
