A woman has been taken into custody after she allegedly kills her 16-year-old daughter following a domestic dispute in the Basti Sokar area, under the jurisdiction of the City Yazman police station.
Police officials said the suspect, identified as Nabila, was reportedly angered after her daughter, Aisha, repeatedly objected to her smoking habit. On Saturday night, an argument broke out when the girl again confronted her mother, leading to a violent altercation.
According to investigators, the woman allegedly restrained her daughter and strangled her in a moment of rage. Law enforcement personnel were alerted shortly after the incident.
Forensic and crime scene teams were dispatched to collect evidence, while the accused was arrested at the scene. The victim’s body was transported to Yazman THQ Hospital, where a post-mortem examination was conducted.
