Karachi’s flagship literary event is set to return early next year, with organisers confirming that the 17th Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) will be held from February 6 to 8, 2026.
The festival will once again take place at its familiar venue, the Beach Luxury Hotel, which has long served as the hub for KLF’s panel discussions, book launches, author sessions and cultural programming.
Now in its seventeenth year, KLF has established itself as one of the country’s most prominent literary platforms, bringing together writers, academics, artists and public intellectuals for three days of conversation and debate.
When Will The Karachi Literature Festival itinerary be Announced?
While the detailed schedule for 2026 has yet to be announced, organisers are expected to retain many of the festival’s signature elements.
Book launches remain central to the festival’s identity, often drawing strong crowds eager to hear readings, discussions and commentary from both emerging and established authors.
Panel discussions have historically tackled a wide range of themes, with a particular focus on social issues, politics, culture and shifting narratives within Pakistan and beyond.

Last year’s edition, held under the theme “Narrative from the Soil”, expanded the festival’s scope beyond the written word with screenings of Pakistani films and a closing qawwali in collaboration with the Arts Council of Pakistan, underscoring KLF’s role as a broader cultural event rather than a purely literary one.
