Pakistan’s Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed is winning hearts with his latest announcement of Pakistan Railways’ discount offer for students!
Students can avail a 50% discount during winter vacations and will be able to avail the discounted fares from 25th December 2018 to 10th January 2019 on all the routes.
All Pakistani students need to do is to show their University I.D. card at the reservation offices.
Passengers can also enjoy free WIFI service, now available on all major stations for passengers.
Earlier, Sheikh Rasheed had announced free travel for aged citizens above 75 and 50% discount for above 65 of age.
What’s more, the Minister has also revealed that yet another freight train will be added in the fleet which will become the backbone for revenue generation.
According to Nation.com.pk, Pakistan Railways earnings has witnessed a significant improvement during PTI’s government. It has generated additional revenue of Rs 1 billion due to concentrated efforts of the department.
