The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially locked in June 14 for the marquee Pakistan vs India (PAK vs IND) clash at the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The tournament runs from June 12 to July 5 in England, but let’s be honest, that Edgbaston evening already feels like one of the defining moments of the group stage.
A Grand Stage Awaits
This will be the 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, featuring 12 teams and 33 matches across seven venues. The final is ICC scheduled at none other than the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.
Before that, the semi-finals will be played at The Oval on June 30 and July 2. The road to Lord’s runs through some of England’s most historic venues, including Edgbaston, Old Trafford, Headingley and the Hampshire Bowl.
Pakistan in a Tough Group
Pakistan have landed in Group A. And it is not an easy one. They will compete alongside defending champions Australia, India, South Africa, Bangladesh and tournament debutants the Netherlands.
That is serious competition. The Netherlands qualified through the global qualifier in Nepal, while Bangladesh also impressed by going unbeaten in that event. So there are no soft fixtures here.
Group B, meanwhile, features England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland and Scotland. Ireland and Scotland secured their spots through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, adding fresh energy to the tournament.
Only the top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals. That means there is no room for slow starts.
Pakistan begin their campaign in the most intense way possible.
