Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan Saqar Bin Mubarik on Thursday has announced that Qatar will require more than 0.1 million Pakistani skilled workers for the purpose of development and construction for the FIFA Football World Cup to be held in the year 2022.

In a recent meeting with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Executive Director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, Qatar desires the maximum workforce for the world cup to come from Pakistan.

The Pakistani government has been focussing on the improvement of the quality of training in the TVET sector in the country. The Pakistani workforce is now trained at par with international standards of technical education and can cater to the needs of any foreign country.

Pakistani workers have played a pivotal part in the completion of many development related projects in Qatar in the past and the ambassador appreciated the efforts made.
