Users simply need to follow the following steps;

1- Tap the individual’s name in the Facebook Messenger application, whom you are having a conversation with.

2- Scroll down to the option reading ‘Something’s Wrong’

3- Select from the given options what exactly is the issue, such as harassment, hate speech, or pretending to be someone else

Once the user has selected the appropriate category, they will receive an option to block or ignore the other individual.

When your report is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation message.

“Providing more granular reporting options in Messenger makes it faster and easier to report things for our Community Operations team to review.” – Hadi Michel, Messenger product manager
