The situation has been escalating, and Israel and Lebanon have become caught in a crossfire. Hezbollah said it launched rockets and drones at a military site near Haifa. After that, Israeli fighter jets attacked targets in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon.

Hezbollah Explains Its Motive

Hezbollah said it attacked because Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died. The group said it had to defend itself and fight back against Israel. Hezbollah said Israel had been targeting its people and positions for a time, so it had to respond.

 Civilian Casualties Rise

Lebanese media said many people died and were injured in the air strikes. The National News Agency said that 31 people died and 149 were injured. Officials are still checking the damage. They think the numbers will change. These numbers already show how bad the violence is and how much it affects people.

A Broader Regional Conflict

This fight is not between Lebanon and Israel. It involves the United States, Israel and Iran. In the 2024 war, Israel caused plenty of damage to Hezbollah’s leaders and infrastructure. Now, Hezbollah seems to be testing its strength and seeing how much Iran will support it.

 Air Raids and Evacuation Orders

Israel struck places in Beirut, southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. Israeli authorities told people in over 50 towns, including Bint Jbeil, to leave. Officials told civilians to get out of areas that might get bombed. These warnings reminded people of the displacement during Israel’s war in Gaza.

Ceasefire Disputes and Political Response

Israel and Hezbollah agreed to stop fighting in November 2024. Lebanese officials said Israel broke the agreement many times. In January, Beirut complained to the United Nations, saying Israel broke sovereignty over 2,000 times.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam criticised Hezbollah’s action. Called it irresponsible. He warned that such moves could make Lebanon more unstable. Salam promised to do what it takes to protect the country and keep it safe.

Uncertain Days Ahead

Lebanon already has problems and political instability. This new conflict adds fear and uncertainty. Many citizens worry that the violence could get worse. As Hezbollah and Israel keep fighting, the region watches closely, unsure of what will happen.
