Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and its crackdown on various eateries is in full swing!

According to Dawn, in a fresh crackdown in Lahore, PFA has sealed 14 food business points, including canteens, restaurants and has imposed Rs. 121,000 fine on many others.

The team of food inspectors raided Java BBQ and Shawarma Points, discovering pests, open dustbins, the presence of washroom in kitchen, unhygienic environment, rusty utensils and expired carbonated drinks.

PFA also sealed Jallo Park’s canteen as it was providing substandard food to customers.

The authority has also penalized 12 food businesses with a cumulative fine of Rs. 121,000.

As many as 89 food points have also been served warning notices.

Over the past couple of year, PFA has been taking strict actions against substandard quality foods, imperfect manufacturing, and unhygienic conditions.

Earlier, the regulatory body has even taken strict actions against big brands like Pizza Hut, Gloria Jeans, Butlers Chocolate Cafe, Salt N Pepper and many more.
