Hajj Hackathon 2018: Here’s How Pakistanis Can Apply

The Saudi Federation of Cybersecurity, drones, and programming has announced the opening for registrations for Hajj Hackathon!

The event is an open invitation to all expert programmers leading in the field to leverage technology so that Hajj or pilgrimage for everyone has become easier with a better experience.

The challenge involves everything from food and drinks to transport, accommodation, and more. The Hackathon will be held in August in Jeddah, and it is being estimated that around 3,000 individuals will participate in it.

Hajj Hackathon Prize Distribution

The top 3 winners of the Hajj Hackathon will win free tickets to next year’s Google IO Developers Conference and this year’s RiseUp Summit. They will also get a Google Home mini (with Google Assistant) and top 20 will get Google cloud credit.

The grand prize is set at 1000,000 SAR for 15% equity investment. The runner-up will get 500,000 SAR for 10% equity investment. And the 2ND runner-up will get 350,000 SAR for 7 % equity investment.

The participants will be judged by the following;

  • Design
  • Simplicity
  • Impact
  • Creativity

Hajj Hackathon will take place at Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The webinar will take place on July 31st and the Hackathon will start on August 1st and will conclude on August 3rd.
