Fans of The Boys finally got the ending they had been waiting for as the series finale, which is titled Blood and Bone, premiered all over the world on May 20, 2026, officially ending the hit show after five intense seasons.
The final episode picks up right after the shocking death of Frenchie in Episode 7. His funeral became one of the most emotional moments in the finale as Butcher, Hughie, Kimiko, Annie, Mother’s Milk and Sister Sage gather to say goodbye. Frenchie’s death deeply affects Kimiko, who starts struggling with her new powers after emotionally shutting down.
HOMELANDER LOSES CONTROL
At the same time, Homelander fully steps into power after receiving V1 from Soldier Boy. During a national speech from the White House, he talks about creating a new America ruled completely by Supes and obedience.
However, things then started falling apart when Ryan starts distancing himself from his father emotionally. Homelander became more unstable during the live broadcast and eventually begins threatening people openly on television.
This creates the perfect chance for The Boys to launch their final mission and with secret help from Ashley, the team enters the White House to stop Homelander before his rule become unstoppable.

A few brutal fights happen during the operation. Annie battles The Deep near the ocean and eventually kills him underwater. Meanwhile, Hughie and Mother’s Milk also take down one of Homelander’s biggest supporters working inside Vought Studios.
BUTCHER’S FINAL DECISION
The biggest showdown happens inside the Oval Office when Butcher, Kimiko and Ryan confront Homelander during his speech. Kimiko finally regains control of her upgraded blast ability and uses it on Homelander, removing temporarily his powers and leaving him completely human for the first time.
After years of revenge and obsession, Butcher brutally kills Homelander while parts of the chaos continue airing live.
The ending also shows the emotional fallout of the battle, as Ryan refuses to forgive Butcher after watching his father die. Kimiko leaves America for France to honour Frenchie’s memory, while Hughie and Annie decide to build a future together after learning Annie is pregnant.
Before dying from his injuries, Butcher almost releases the Supe killing virus inside Vought Tower but changes his mind after an emotional conversation with Hughie.
Even with Homelander dead, the finale makes it clear that Vought and the world of Supes are far from finished.
