The most popular streaming giant has launched its online store which is called Netflix.shop. This will be the company’s first owned-and-operated retail outlet to sell products directly. Note, the products sold will be of ‘Netflix originals’ only!
What Will The Store Have?
According to Variety, the online store is all set to sell exclusive and limited editions of “carefully selected, high-quality apparel and lifestyle products”. These will be tied to Netflix’s shows and its brand on a regular basis. So think Netflix merch. We, for one, can not wait to get a big, cosy Netflix hoodie and a cup.
Debut Products
Coming extremely soon to the highly anticipated Netflix store will be exclusive merch based on ”The Witcher” and ”Stranger Things”. These shows are not only two original series but they’re also the series with huge, ardent fandoms. Moreover, the new Netflix logo-wear is also being designed by the Japanese fashion house BEAMS.
Other products being released this month on the online store are streetwear and action figures based on anime series. These anime series include ”Yasuke” and ”Eden”. These three up-and-coming designers: Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites, and Jordan Bentley will be designing the anime-inspired collectables.
Additionally, there will be limited-edition apparel and decorative items inspired by the French thriller series ”Lupin”. The collection on Lupin will be made in collaboration with the Musee du Louvre which is the best part!

Netflix has developed and launched this e-commerce site with the help of Shopify. Shopify is the US’ largest entrepreneurial site that helps businesses in a multitude of ways. The shopping site will first be available first in the US before it expands to other countries in the future.
Netflix has already secured licensing deals for hundreds of products based on its original programming. These are inclusive of but not limited to licenses sold by Target, Walmart, Amazon, H&M, Sephora, and other retailers.
