Initially, Momal was accompanied by her mother in New York, and 15 days before her delivery, her husband Nadir visited her. However, a situation arose when her mother needed to travel to Dallas, and instead of staying behind, Momal chose to accompany her.

“I was due to deliver in New York, and everything was planned. But my mom had to leave for Dallas, and I didn’t want to stay alone,” said Momal. “So, I decided to travel with her, even though I was about to deliver in a month.”

Doctorโ€™s Advice and Travel Dilemma

While doctors in Pakistan ask pregnant women not to move around during the eighth month of pregnancy, Momal was permitted by a U.S. doctor to travel by road with a restriction on air travel due to air pressure. Meanwhile, her husband opposed travelling back, and she had to go all the way to Dallas to deliver her son, now named Ibrahim. Her mother supported her thoroughly during the entire travel time.

Returning to Pakistan

Although she was still abroad, Momal remembers the care given by her mother and the help she got then. But she also said, “I missed the care that I would have gotten in Pakistan.” After delivering her baby, she went back to Pakistan, revealing the wonderful experience to her fans. Her story helped the audience gain admiration for her strength and the strong bond of a mother.
