In its latest move, the city administration has now declared new timings for the closure of marriage halls in Karachi.
According to Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani, all ‘shaadi’ halls in the city will be closed by 11 PM. Earlier, the closure timing was midnight.
The decision will be enforced with immediate effect. Strict action will be taken against violators of the rule.
Marriage halls found guilty of violating the restriction would be sealed off.
The administration has also decided to tackle ways of traffic congestion originating from different ceremonies in the city.
