Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has revealed that users can now make reels up to three minutes long. In a video statement posted on the platform, he shared: “You can now upload reels up to three minutes long. We’ve historically only allowed reels up to 90 seconds given our focus on short-form video, but we’ve heard the feedback that this is just too short for those who want to share longer stories. Hope this helps.”

This update comes less than a year after the CEO himself expressed concerns about lengthy videos, stating that videos surpassing 90 seconds could affect content distribution.
