Farhan Saeed is coming back to cinemas this Eid al-Adha with his new film Luv Di Saun, and it is already getting attention after its first teaser dropped.
The film, featuring Mamya Shajaffar and Farhan Saeed, is set in the streets of old Lahore. The teaser shows love, action and heavy emotions, hinting at a story that is full of drama and conflicts.
Why The Film Has a Punjabi Title
In a recent interview on NarrativeTV, host Omair Alavi asked a simple question that many people were already wondering about: Why does the film have a Punjabi title if it is an Urdu language film?
Farhan Saeed explained that the film is based on Punjabi culture, but it is not only in one language. He said Urdu is understood all over Pakistan, especially in cities like Karachi, so the film is made for a wider audience.

He also said the film has both Punjabi and Urdu dialogues mixed. The humour and emotions move between both languages in a natural way, like how people actually talk in real life. He added that one of the characters played by Rana Aijaz also fits this style, which he liked a lot.
Mamya Shajaffar on the Language Mix
Mamya Shajaffar also shared that the film shows a cultural mix. She said Punjabi and Urdu often blend in South Asian stories, and this makes the film easier for more people to connect with.
The film is directed and written by Imran Malik and also features Mehrunnisa Iqbal, Rana Ejaz, Babar Ali and Tabrez Khan in important roles. It brings together both new and experienced actors for this project.
