For years, Pakistan cricket fans abroad have had to jump from one platform to another just to catch their favourite matches. But that’s about to change. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially launched its very own online streaming platform, ‘PCB Live’, giving fans direct access to live games, exclusive features, and classic moments, all in one place.
A Step into the Digital Future
Cricket isn’t just a sport in Pakistan; it’s an emotion, a tradition, almost a part of daily life. And with the launch of PCB Live, the board has finally taken a bold step into the digital age.
For now, the platform is available to fans in the United Kingdom, accessible through a web-based service. That means viewers in the UK will be able to stream the upcoming Test series between Pakistan and South Africa live, without needing any third-party broadcaster.
The PCB also confirmed that a mobile version of the app will roll out in the UK by the end of October, making it easier for fans to tune in on their smartphones or smart devices.
More Than Just Live Matches
What makes PCB Live exciting isn’t just the live matches, it’s the content mix. The platform will host international fixtures, select domestic tournaments, and a treasure trove of archival footage featuring Pakistan’s most iconic cricketing moments.
Subscribers can dive into an expanding collection of highlights, documentaries, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes clips. Imagine watching Wasim Akram’s magic in the 90s or Babar Azam’s modern-day masterclasses, all at your fingertips.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. The upcoming tri-nation series between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka will also be streamed through the new service.
A “Momentous Milestone” for PCB
Calling it a “momentous milestone,” PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasised that the board’s goal is to bring Pakistan cricket closer to its fans.
“We are proud to launch our own OTT platform in an era where digital convenience shapes the fan experience,” Naqvi said.
“While PCB Live is starting in the UK, we will gradually expand its reach to other regions, ensuring that fans everywhere stay connected to Pakistan cricket.”
Naqvi added that PCB Live was built to combine nostalgia with real-time access, essentially bringing Pakistan cricket “directly into the hands of passionate supporters.”
