The Much-Awaited IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup Rescheduled!

Published on

The much-awaited IMC Over 40s T20 Cricket World Cup has been rescheduled and will now take place from November 21st to December 1st, 2025, right here in the heart of cricket in Karachi. The World Cup was initially being held from December 1-13, 2025.

The rescheduling details of the World Cup were discussed in a meeting held at the Minister’s office. Present at the meeting were PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sindh, Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, and Secretary of Sports Munawar Ali Mahesar.

“The original dates (Dec 1–13) clashed with the National Games, which will bring over 7,000 athletes and officials to Karachi. To avoid logistical and security challenges for the Government of Sindh, and based on the desire of Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and the advice of PCB, we’ve moved the World Cup to an earlier window. We’re thankful to all participating teams for their full cooperation for rescheduling the dates,” PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan explained.
