Karachi is facing intense heat today. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi’s temperature is expected to reach 39°C. Due to high humidity, it could feel like 49°C.

The MET office said the heat and humidity will continue over the next 24 hours. Humidity is at 67%, and winds are blowing from the west at 16 kilometers per hour. Officials have advised people to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight during peak hours due to the heatwave-like conditions.

Meanwhile, most parts of the country will likely remain hot and dry over the next twelve hours. The MET office expects rain, windstorms, or thunderstorms to hit Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, and North/Southeast Balochistan by evening or night. The forecast also includes chances of isolated heavy rainfall or hailstorms.

  • Karachi: 31°C

  • Peshawar: 25°C

  • Quetta: 19°C

  • Gilgit: 16°C

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Jammu is likely to stay hot and dry as well.

  • Pulwama: 14°C

  • Jammu: 26°C

  • Leh: 3°C

  • Anantnag: 15°C

  • Shopian: 13°C
