Good news for cricket fans in Pakistan, as according to reliable media sources, the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh is officially on.

Despite earlier whispers about a possible postponement due to regional tensions, both boards have confirmed the tour will proceed as scheduled, with the action kicking off on May 25 in Faisalabad.

Sources from both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have assured that logistics, security, and planning are all on track. The earlier concerns, mostly tied to cross-border unease, have been swept aside after the recent ceasefire calmed nerves.

A Busy Month Ahead for Bangladesh

Before landing in Pakistan, Bangladesh will first head to Sharjah for a quick two-match T20I series against the UAE.

That mini-series kicks off on May 17, with the second game to follow on May 19. Consider it a warm-up—short, sharp, and useful.

After that, they’re set to arrive in Pakistan on May 21.

Leadership Shuffle: Litton Das Takes the Helm

One of the key storylines heading into these tours is Bangladesh’s new leadership combo.
With Najmul Hossain Shanto stepping down earlier this year, experienced wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been named the T20I captain for both the UAE and Pakistan tours.

Backing him up will be off-spinner Mahedi Hasan, who’s been appointed vice-captain.
It’s a fresh look for a team in transition—one eye on stability, the other on future T20 World Cup plans.

Pakistan-Bangladesh Record

Let’s be honest—Bangladesh has had a tough time cracking the Pakistan code in T20Is.

Out of 19 T20I encounters, Pakistan has won 16, with Bangladesh pulling off just three wins. History favours the Men in Green, but cricket has a funny way of rewriting scripts when you least expect it.

Here’s the schedule of the series:

  • May 25 – 1st T20I at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad (8:00 PM local time)
  • May 27 – 2nd T20I at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad (8:00 PM)
  • May 30 – 3rd T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (8:00 PM)
  • June 1 – 4th T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (8:00 PM)
  • June 3 – 5th T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (8:00 PM)
