The long awaited Zong 3G services have been finally launched today in the country.
The inauguration was held at Zong’s headquarters in Islamabad which comprised of Dr. Ismail Shah, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, along with other members of PTA.
For now, Zong 3G service is available in Karachi and Lahore only and in a couple of weeks Islamabad will also enjoy the facility.
Zong will offer daily, weekly and monthly 3G packages for its customers. Here is the list of 3G packages they are offering.

Add ons are value added in the package that will allow the users to consume more data within the time duration of the package selected against the price.
Lets have a look what Zong is offering as its add ons:
Out of package charges:
Once your package gets over and there are no add ons in your account, then 3G service will be charged as Rs.1 per MB. These charges will expire along with the expiration of basic package that you were subscribed to.
Default 3G Package:
If you are not subscribed to any of the packages then you will be charged Rs. 10 per MB for the 3G service.
Free Social Package:
Now the customers of Zong can enjoy free social package for a limited time. With this package, customers can use unlimited Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter for free. Below are details:
