Zong

Zong, the third largest telecommunication giant in Pakistan is ready to sponsor Pakistan vs South Africa cricket series to be held form 14th October, 2013 to 15th November, 2013.

“Zong is immensely pleased and excited about sponsoring one of the most exhilarating cricket series of this season” Mr. farooq Niaz stated in the official press release.

“We have proudly become a regular patron of cricket and hope to see great sportsman spirit in this upcoming series. We wish both the teams all the best and look forward to a very entertaining series. Pakistan is a cricket loving nation and it’s a sport they literally live, eat and sleep.”

South Africa is all set to face Pakistan in a 9 match series which spreads out in 2 Test Matches, 5 One Day Internationals along with 2 T20s. The series will be hosted by Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

Zong, over time, has established a rather strong stand with Pakistan Cricket. The promotional strategy is justified, as Zong is emerging as the fastest growing cellular network of the country and it seeks to become Pakistan’s favorite network; hence the association with Pakistan’s favorite sport.

Mr. Niaz further added, “Zong keeping its legacy to promote sports in Pakistan has sponsored this series as part of our commitment to promote this great game.”

Along with sports, Zong has also taken an active step to provide immediate relief to the earthquake victims of Balochistan.

In collaboration with the earthquake relief efforts of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Zong’s CSR activities will focus on the areas that were worst-hit by the earthquake – Labach and Tir Tej Tehsils of Awaran District.

In the 1st phase, Zong will be send food relief from Karachi for immediate consumption in partnership with PRCS to the relief camps in Labach.

In the 2nd phase, food relief will be sent to Tir Tej Tehsil of Awaran District just before Eid.

Pakistan’s cellular network of choice, Zong once again steps up to demonstrate its continued commitment to Pakistani nation at the time of this great affliction.
