That’s right, Sony has introduced the world’s fastest 128GB SD card! The company wants to bring high-speed and efficiency to their new SD card lineup with the SF-G Series.

SF-G Series of SD cards offer enhanced features optimized for professional photographers, DSLR and mirrorless camera users and videographers.

The write speed of the series is up to 299 MB/s, enabled by Sony’s unique firmware, the SF-G Series will be the world’s fastest SD cards.

Write speed supports maximum performance of digital imaging devices, contributing to a longer continuous shooting of high-resolution images with UHS-II supporting cameras.

“The quick write speed supports maximum performance of digital imaging devices, contributing to a longer continuous shooting of high-resolution images with UHS-II supporting cameras,”

Sony said, highlighting why they’re particularly compelling for photographers.

“It also contributes to a shorter buffer clearing time so users never miss a critical moment.”

The SD cards are to be launched Spring 2017 in 3 variants, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with USB 3.1 Gen 1 support.
