It has been a decade to October 18, 2007, when the disastrous bomb attack on Benazir Bhutto’s caravan shook the whole city and took lives of many innocent souls.

As many as 180 people died in the suicide blast and every year, Pakistan People’s Party take out a historic rally in Karachi to honor the martyrs of Karsaz.


A traffic alert has been released for tomorrow and as aspected, the cities will face a massive traffic jam due to the occasion.

It is expected that the political rally will commence from Bilawal House and pass through Boat Basin, Mai Kolachi, ICI Chowk, Kakri Ground, Lee Market, Napier Road, Denso Hall, MA Jinnah Road, Numaish Chowrangi, Shahrah-e-Quaideen to arrive at Karsaz.

Following routes are advisable for hassle-free commutation 

  • Citizens who want to reach the airport from Shahrah-e-Faisal road should take to Korangi via the FTC bridge
  • Citizens who want to come to Clifton from Gulshan-e-Iqbal should use the Shaheed-e-Millat road.
  • Those arriving from the airport to Saddar should use the route from Drigh Road, Rashid Minhas road, Stadium road and Peoples Chowrangi road.
  • Those who want to reach Clifton and Defence from the airport should make use of the route from Shah Faisal Colony and Korangi Industrial area.
  • Those who wish to reach the airport from Nazimabad should make use of the Nipa and Drigh road routes.
  • To reach Ziauddin Hospital, citizens should use sea view and China Chowrangi route.
  • Those who want to reach South City Hospital should make use of the Bahria underpass route.
  • To reach Jinnah Hospital from Landhi Korangi, citizens should make use of the route from Korangi road and CSD.
