Cropped Coats, embroider long jackets, free flowing colours combined with the most stunning models of Pakistan, that’s how Fashion Pakistan Week 6 kicked off.
It had everything, the best fashion designers, bold and confident young Pakistani models – who by the way looked ravishing on ramp – and a pleasant International tally as Maybelline New York exhibited its Finest which was all ornamented by a special occasion with the completion of 20 years of excellence from HSY. FPW 2014 was held in pearl Continental Karachi in association with Toni&Guy.
The event was carried out with professional artistry as the audacious Pakistani Models walked the ramp in off-shoulder maxis, knee-length shift dresses, and sleeveless kurtas. The dominated stage the moment the curtains were raised. The show initiated with eight designers showcasing their talent, all thanks to Toni&Guy’s magnificent event.
FPW stood out as a mix of established fashion crop, as some of the more talented young fashion designers also showcased their creativity in silhouettes – a mix of traditional and western apparel, alongside the giant brands likeHSY himself. The show had all the genres from traditional to modern, from experts to newcomers and from bold colours to bold choices.
The bold choice made by the officials of Toni&Guy and FPW to encourage the young fashion talent of Pakistan, is unparalleled. It’s amazingly rare for a brand this big to break through the clichés, to embolden the young minds at work.
