Google has become the first company to rent the World’s largest and most expensive digital billboard in Times Square, New York. The screen is mounted on the side of the Marriot Marquis hotel which is the size of a football field. The new billboard will show a nature inspired digital art piece for a week until Google ads begin to run. The screen was turned on by Tuesday this week only and hundreds of tourists watched the screen excitedly. The screen also allows interactive content activity through the cameras which are connected to the screen. The billboard is hired for four weeks i.e. beginning on 24 November and running until January 2015, in an estimated cost of & 2.5Million. Facts reveal that around 300,000 pedestrians pass the billboard daily. The new billboard stands out even among other brightly-lit screens in Times Square. The billboard is the highest resolution LED video display in the world of this size, and will produce “deep, rich black levels and unsurpassed vertical viewing angles. The display, which is 25,000 square feet in size, features a whopping 24 million pixels.
