The day 2 of FPW picked up the pace and exuded more effort and organization as compared to the Day 1. Also, the stunning line up of designers who were all ready to present what they created made it all the more fun and interesting. Of course, the day had its ‘leave-your-mouth-open’ kind of moments too, so let’s delve into it and find out what was ‘cool and not-so-cool’ about FPWS/S’16 Day 2.
The Best of Day 2
With a talented and creative line-up of designers, it was evident that we will see some breathtakingly gorgeous ensembles, but it was more than the outfits that truly stole the show on Day 2.
The Best Collections
Almost all the collections that were shown on #FPW16 Day 2 impressed the attendees. However, there are a few collections that stood out than the rest; designers for these collections were successful in translating their design philosophy more glaringly than the others.
Zaheer Abbas relied on the ‘kill it with simplicity’ mantra and totally stole the show. His collection was by far one of the best collections we have seen this year! He presented a clean and crisp assemblage encompassing white cotton shirts and shirt dresses adorned with belts and retro sunnies.
From beginning to end, all the models walked in white simple cotton outfits, yet managed to0 look entirely different due to the unique cuts and silhouettes it donned.
In addition to Zaheer Abbas, designer Huma Adnan and Ayesha Farooq Hashwani also made strong impressions with their aesthetic appeal. Where, Huma’s collection was all about boho chic, Ayesha Farooq Hashwani too presented high class glamour in her designs.

The Best Moments
The day 2 of the fashion week did have a lot of aww moments but the best one that made all the attendees cheer with joy was when adorable kids came up on the ramp for the designer Nauman Arfeen.
Donning t-shirts and jeans, these cool kids walked the ramp in the beginning and at the end of the show exuding so much confidence and style. The kids wore t-shirts with ‘Freedom’ imprinted on it delivering a message to the world that we all need to be free and try hard to be who we want to be!
Three different celebrities walked the ramp for different designers, but gorgeous Humaima Malik stole the limelight! She walked for Zaheer Abbas and was looking ravishing in a simple white dress. She twirled, cheered for the designer and even blew a kiss to the attendees (bonus of the day)!
Besides Humaima, multi-talented Azfar Rehman and the uber-gorgoeus Soniya Hussain also walked the ramp for Amir Adnan and Huma Adnan respectively.
The Bizarre Moments of Day 2
There were also some moments that got mixed reactions and some even went viral on the social media. Let’s see what made these moments turn heads!
Chic with the Chicken
We began to hear a lot of hooting, cheers and whistles, when model Rubya Chaudhry hit the ramp carrying a chicken! A real, ive chicken! Can you believe that? Just minutes after the walk, we began to see hilarious memes on the internet. While some called it animal cruelty; others just found it too funny to be a part of the fashion show.
It was pretty odd, no doubt, but the style and poise she displays while carrying the animal is commendable!
Amin Gulgee High on Energy
Another act that caused the tongue wagging was Amin Gulgee’s ‘high on energy’ walk on the ramp! Of course, when the Dhoom Macha Le remix is on in full volume, no one can control their inner dance moves and when you are on the ramp it gets even harder.
No matter what people say, his act really did entertain the attendees. He jumped, clapped and did a tad bit of a ‘twerk’ to make his walk just more fun and engaging.
