1. This International Women’s Day, I pledge…
To empower women in my own capacity at the workplace, at home, and in society, in whichever way I can.

2. Across the organizational landscape, I want to see more female representation in…
Higher positions. Though there is progress, women are not preferred to be hired at the top ladders and most of them are found at entry or low to mid-level jobs.

3. The one stereotype about women that should be busted this year is…
‘Women work less than men’ is a global myth and should be broken as women do more unpaid jobs and fewer paid work opportunities. The work that women do often goes unregistered and unacknowledged. It is high time to balance the scale with shared home responsibilities.

“IoBM is promoting gender equality and women empowerment by encouraging women to be part of the mainstream with leading roles in various departments or as HoDs.”

4. My organization is promoting gender equality and women empowerment…
By encouraging women to be part of the mainstream with leading roles in various departments or as HoDs. There is gender equality in the hiring process as well as placements and career enhancements.

5. I believe women can fight gender inequality at their workplaces…
By remaining unbiased and taking more objective-oriented decisions at the workplace and beyond.

6. As for men, they can help reduce gender equality at home and work…
By treating women fairly. They must start this at home by guarding the rights of mothers, wives, sisters, and daughters, ensuring they have a say in decisions related to them such as studying, career, marriage, and having children. Such men will ensure the same treatment of women at work as well and this will broaden their contribution to society.

7. My message to young aspiring women looking to start a career in 2022 is…
BE ASSERTIVE! Guard your rights but do not step on others’.
