Tehmina Fatima

Integrated and Marketing Communication Manager, Signify Pakistan (Formally Philips Pakistan Limited)

1. This International Women’s Day, I pledge…
To uplift other women and be a constant source of support.

2. Across the organizational landscape, I want to see more female representation in…
Every department and at every level because women are perfectly capable of doing anything they set their minds to.

3. One stereotype about women that should be busted this year…
Is the assumption that an opinion from a woman is not worthy enough to be considered.

“Signify Pakistan is encouraging gender equality and women empowerment by creating an environment where no woman thinks twice about taking initiatives and by making sure everything is done based on merit.”

4. My organization is promoting gender equality and women empowerment…
By creating an environment where no woman thinks twice about taking initiative and by making sure everything is done based on merit.

5. I believe women can fight gender inequality at their workplaces…
By creating a safe environment for young girls to work in and thrive. In the creative communications industry, they can contribute to gender equality initiatives by creating stories that do not showcase women as domesticated weak creatures. By pushing a narrative that revolves around strong and inspirational female characters, we can create a change.

6. As for men, they can help reduce gender bias at home and work…
By realizing that we are all part of one team and by not being biased towards opinions shared by women.

7. My message to young aspiring women looking to start a career in 2022 is…
Never doubt your potential, work hard, and never shy away from taking the next step forward.
